Most people who have been around firearms know that the .22 is a pretty light bullet that isn’t traveling very fast, it is raw speed that provides the most penetrating power. A .223 round traveling twice as fast could probably stop the engine, but a little .22 going 1100 feet per second doesn’t have the chance.
